According to the seller, Dr. Arthur Funk, born 1874, was a missionary Doctor in the country of Iran at the American Hospital in Hamadan, Iran. He died at his home in Iran in March of 1939, as stated on a document included in this lot, and his estate was settled in favor of Sue Leinbach Funk in New York in Dec 1939. These few photos and pieces of correspondence from a descendants family album were not available to the public.
